Rutherford County Jail Ministry
We are a group of 50 dedicated Believers who are concerned about the spiritual condition of 750 men and women housed at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center located at 940 New Salem Highway in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, 37129. Since the year 2000 we were affiliated with one of the larger Jail Ministries in the world – but became an independent and local ministry in November of 2005, when the Sheriff's Department terminated the association with the Parent Ministry.
With this in mind RCJM was incorporated in
February 2006, and is now a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization. All donations to
the ministry are tax deductable.
RCJM is a faith-based ministry and we receive no funding from the local, state or federal government. We depend solely on our Lord to touch the hearts of other believers, local churches and businesses so that we can provide Bibles, Bibles Studies, Christian Books and other needs to the incarcerated. A 10-member Board of Directors governs our Ministry and our mailing address is RCJM, P.O. Box 12354, Murfreesboro Tennessee 37129.
Our goal
We depend upon and appreciate the local churches and 50
volunteers who support and are in partnership with RCJM in ministering to the
incarcerated. We believe that the body of Christ, working together, is the
only way to make rehabilitation successful.
